The brainchild of seasoned filmmaker James DeMonaco, 'The Purge' series has carved its place as a cornerstone of 21st-century horror, plunging viewers into a world where all crime is fair game during a harrowing 12-hour period.

With a track record of five successful films, collectively amassing over $533 million worldwide, anticipation swirls around the forthcoming 'The Purge 6', slated to conclude the saga.

During an interview at the Lights Out red carpet with Screen Rant, Grillo, known for his roles in 2014's 'The Purge: Anarchy' and its sequel 'The Purge: Election Year', unveiled that the script for the sixth instalment is complete. He further disclosed that the ultimate chapter will see DeMonaco at the helm once more, with a narrative focal point on his character, Leo Barnes. Grillo elaborated, stating, "The script is done. It basically centres around Leo Barnes, my character. It would be the last of the last of the last, it's like the guy who keeps retiring. James DeMonaco is going to direct it, if it happens, and it's a matter of money. It's a matter of how big they want the movie to be, how much money they want to spend on the movie, considering they've done a lot in this franchise. But it's a great script."

Delving deeper into the storyline of 'The Purge 6', DeMonaco teased a continuation of the nightmarish version of America depicted in 'The Forever Purge'. With the nation plunged into turmoil as citizens carry out the Purge as a perpetual event, the film promises to explore the aftermath of this chaos. DeMonaco hinted at a fractured America, sharply divided along ideological, sexual, and religious lines, as each state grapples with its own brand of anarchy.

While the cast for 'The Purge 6' remains largely undisclosed, Grillo stands as the sole confirmed actor thus far. Fans will recall his character's pivotal role in safeguarding Senator Roan in 'The Purge: Election Year', leaving speculation ripe on how he'll navigate the turbulent landscape of the anarchic America depicted in the latest instalment.

As anticipation mounts for the climax of 'The Purge' saga, fans eagerly await further revelations about the cast and plot details, poised on the edge of their seats for the thrilling conclusion to this ground-breaking horror franchise.
